In case you aren’t aware, Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town makes a mean batch of bacon cheddar biscuits (among other delicious recipes!) and shares her finesse for Southern cooking on her cooking show which airs Saturdays on GAC.
In fact, Kimberly was awarded “Best Home Chef in a Series” at the 5th annual Taste Awards over the weekend for her “Kimberly’s Simply Southern” cooking show. And, while I’m sure she’s thrilled with the award — I’m guessing she and her bandmates of Little Big Town would be even more thrilled with another award they’re up for this week — A Grammy.
Their song “Your Side of the Bed” is nominated for the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. When asked what she thinks of their chances of winning the award? Kimberly joked, “One in five?”
The category nominees also include Tim McGraw’s collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban “Highway Don’t Care”, Kelly Clarkson & Vince Gill’s “Don’t Rush”, The Civil Wars “From This Valley”, and Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton “You Can’t Make Old Friends”.
Little Big Town won the Grammy for the same category last year for their huge hit “Pontoon” and, obviously, would love a repeat win. The 56th annual Grammy Awards take place this Sunday.
