Hi!

I'm so glad you dropped by to see my new page. There's so much I want to put on here, but it would take up the entire XTU website. So I decided to add things a little at a time.

First, thank you to my family for all their love and support- I love them with all my heart. And I'm blessed to have an extended family, too- and that's you, my XTU family.

92.5 XTU is like the background of a wonderful tapestry, always there through all aspects of our lives. You provide the color, texture and excitement that weaves it all together, as you share your stories with me.

And I've shared with you, too. I feel the glow when you come up to me at an XTU event and tell me what's going on in your life, how long you've been listening to the Country Cafe', and things we may have discussed- on the air- or in person. And always, hugs all around!

I'll bet you remember more about me than I do! Here's a fun idea- where or how did we meet? What do you remember about me through the years at XTU? I'll try to share some of your stories right here in the coming months.

I remember some cute first encounters. One year, at the shore, I was standing in the ocean, soaking wet, when a handsome guy came up to me- in the ocean- and asked if I had any XTU Anniversary Show tickets. I smiled, asked him where they could be, and pointed out to him that my bathing suit didn't have pockets. We both laughed and have been friends ever since.

And then, there was the time, in a Chinese restaurant, when my cousin whispered to me that two women were watching me and whispering. You know, in that special way that you know they're talking about you. I thought maybe I had broccoli in my teeth... but, no, that wasn't it.

I racked my brain, wondering how I knew them. I hoped they would come over and say hi, but they never did. Weeks later, I met one of the ladies at an XTU event and she told me she saw me at the restaurant. The light bulb went off and I promptly nicknamed her my "stalker". We've been laughing about it for years. So if you see me somewhere, don't be shy, come up and say hello!

Tell me your stories, whether we've met recently or have known each other for years. Did we cruise together, or maybe we met at a ticket run...or perhaps in the dressing room at Macys? But that's a story for another time!

Here's a fun idea- tell me where or how we met? What do you remember about me through the years at XTU? Send me a short email and in the coming months, and I'll try to share some of your personal experiences right here.

And now, a little about me- the short list!

My passions include: Music, art, great food, gardening, the beach, ocean, cruising, sci-fi and mystery novels and films, writing, making videos, making friends, the news, kids and animals( I love them), the environment and helping people. Oh yes, and FRESH coffee! Some things just never change- LOL!

Thank you for being a wonderful part of my life and listening to the Country Cafe' on 92.5 XTU!

Love,

Leigh Richards
