Scotty McCreery got America's attention when he won the 10th season of American Idol in May of 2011. Later that year, Scotty released his debut album, Clear as Day, which produced the top 20 country songs, "I Love You This Big" and "The Trouble with Girls." McCreery released a Christmas album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, in October 2012 and it sold over half a million copies. In February of 2018, Scotty released his single "Five More Minutes," which became his first number one song.

McCreery has toured with Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts, headlined his own tours, earned industry and fan accolades, and was named “Best American Idol” by the readers of The Los Angeles Times.

Beyond being a singer, he's also a writer: Scotty released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, in May 2016. He calls the book a “travelogue – not an autobiography.” He also used to blog for Major League Baseball (he played baseball in high school).

His most recent album, Seasons Change, was released in March of 2018; that became McCreery's fourth top 10 album in the United States. A few months later, on June 16, 2018, McCreery married his longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal in North Carolina.

McCreery is currently writing songs and working on his highly anticipated next album which he hopes to release later this year.
