Operation Legacy Service Project Presented By Bachman Roofing Changes Lives

A while back, we reported on the Hero's Home Initiative, a collaboration between the Travis Manion Foundation's Operation Legacy, XTU...that's us...and some stellar home improvement partners.

The end goal was to provide a safe, comfortable home for Charles Trost, a U.S. Air National Guard veteran, and his family. And we are pleased to say that that is exactly what has come to pass, in spectacular fashion.

Friday morning was the unveiling of the newly renovated home belonging to Charles and his wife, Tara. Thanks to the selflessness of such companies as Bachman's Roofing, Building & Remodeling, Inc., Oliver Heating, and Basement Waterproofing Specialists, the Trosts are now the proud owners of a home befitting Charles' work and sacrifice, a home that they truly deserve.

Operation Legacy is born of the Travis Manion Foundation every April and November, uniting communities for a common cause through volunteer-led service opportunities. The organization was quick to step up to support the Hero's Home winner after his post-deployment home ownership resulted in an unsafe, uninhabitable property that was nowhere near up to code.

Now, however...it's perfect.

And so was the unveiling! Representatives of Entercom, Bachman's Roofing and the Travis Manion Foundation were on hand for the exciting event, which included refreshments, a tour, and general good cheer at the very real difference that we all came together to make.
