Up and coming country artist Jimmie Allen recently sat down for an interview with Taste of Country.

In the interview, Allen revealed he suffered a heart attack at the age of 21.

According to the country artist, both his father and grandfather suffered heart attacks around the same age as well.

You wouldn't normally expect a fit looking guy like Allen to reveal such shocking health news, but in truth, he has a hereditary heart condition.

As Allen puts it, it's not really something doctors know how to treat until the heart attack happens.

Despite the health setback years ago, Allen has not let the condition slow him down -- As he's been touring for most of the summer.

While roadlife can come with stress and challenges, Allen makes the best of every situation and is truly grateful for the opportunity to do what he loves.
