Now, a little over a week after the ordeal, Wilson is speaking out about that night.

While she has remained relatively quiet about the details surrounding the arrest, she did reveal to Taste of Country how the experience made her feel.

The country star admitted the incident made her sad and that what happened wasn't funny.

Wilson also said the way the situation unfolded was embarrassing.

Additionally, as she flips through various stories and headlines, she wants her fans to know -- Those reports are inaccurate.

One of the worst things for her personally, was having to text her mom and daughter to let them know she had been arrested.

At first they were a bit confused and worried, but Gretchen said she reassured them she was okay.

Wilson is due in court on September 13.
