Every time Miranda Lambert plays a concert it benefits several dogs as she feature tables with MuttNation Foundation information and donations. So, on the organization's 10- year anniversary, the non-profit organization has donated $150,000 to animal shelters across the United States.

Miranda says in a press release, "Music and rescue animals are the two driving forces in my life and I’m so fortunate that the success I’ve had with my music allows me to help shelter animals more than I dreamed possible. MuttNation’s 10-year milestone is amazing and what we’ve been able to accomplish gets better every year. Just in this past year, alone, we helped 1,776 shelter pets find their forever homes."

Lambert and her mother, Bev, founded MuttNation Foundation in 2009. Her mother had been rescuing dogs for years, so the two decided to create a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote the adoption of shelter animals, assist with animal transport and help during times of natural disaster.

Since the program's inception, Mutts Across America has supported 250 shelters with more than $750,000, not including these latest grants and Miranda and her mom currently have 15 rescued pets between them.
