Cassadee Pope And Her Boyfriend Adopt A Tortoise

Cassadee Pope has been dating TV actor and former Nashville star Sam Palladio for a little over a year, but the relationship is getting quite serious as the couple have been thinking about adopting a tortoise together.

Cassadee tells People, “We’re talking about getting a tortoise. I just love the idea of telling people that we have a tortoise.” A shared love of animals is actually how the couple first started dating as their first date was actually taking their respective pups to a dog park.

As for music, Pope recently changed her whole management team and released a new project called Stages. She said, “Without taking those risks and taking those chances, you don’t ever reap the benefits. I went with my gut and how good it feels when you succeed. For me, I already feel successful knowing that I did what I wanted to do.”

The new album Stages debuted as iTunes’ top country album, and it’s also been getting great reviews. Pope is also opening for Maren Morris on her GIRL: The World Tour and she’ll follow that up by headlining the CMT Next Women of Country Tour. In the meantime, she says, she has begun to field interest from record labels.

Cassadee shared, “I think the album is making a good enough splash to where people are saying, 'Okay, we want to be involved.' It’s scary, but I feel good about it.”
