The tragedy in New Zealand where 49 people were killed in a terror attack targeting two mosques in the city of Christchurch has stirred some country stars to share their support via social media.

Tim McGraw was the first country artist to share his support to the country via his socials saying, "We are deeply saddened by the horrific news out of New Zealand and we stand with all our friends there against hatred of any kind. #theyareus."

Maren Morris tweeted, "My heart is with the people of New Zealand. it’s such a beautiful country with the kindest people and I can’t imagine what they’re going through today."

And Kelsea Ballerini also shared her love and support.

Sheryl Crow whose last album was a country record and who lives in Nashville said on Twitter, "We visited New Zealand last April and marveled at this beautiful and peaceful country. It’s still shocking to realize hate exists everywhere. Love to the people of New Zealand, and prayers for all of you after this horrible tragedy."
