Brad Paisley played Rodeo Houston this week and it tugged at his heart because he missed two very special people he saw while there each year, former President George H.W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush who both passed away in 2018.

Paisley posted to instagram, "Every year at @rodeohouston I would have lunch with 2 of my very, very dear friends before they would go to the big event. My heart was heavy this year thinking they wouldn’t be there. Turns out, I guess they were. Susan Terry said it best. Well done @rodeohouston, well done. #georgeandbarbarabush #missyou"

The Bushes were huge country music fans who attended the Rodeo Houston event each year and even while the Sr. Bush was President the couple attended the CMA Awards back in 1991 and quipped to Entertainment Weekly at the time, "When I need a little free advice about Saddam [Hussein], I turn to country music."
