Are the Philadelphia Eagles getting closer to reviving the kelly green jerseys?

Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie spoke at the NFL’s annual meeting Tuesday March 26 and one thing he said stuck out.

“We’re working on that hard, high priority,” Lurie said. “I don’t know if it will get done for the 2019 season, but I have some hopes for the 2020 season.”

It seems the hold up has to do with an NFL rule which limits teams to one helmet design per season and kelly green jerseys wouldn't work with the teams current helmets.

Lurie says he hopes to have the NFL allow a second design for the 2020 season.

Philadelphia  last wore the jerseys in 2010 during a throwback game to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the bird’s 1960 championship.
