Jimmie Allen appears to be playing an April Fools joke on his fans, as he posted a message today on his socials that he is going to take a break from music.

Allen posted today (4/1) on his socials writing, "After a lot of thought and prayer I have decided to take a break from music for a while. I'm gonna spend my time developing my other passions. Thank you all for your support."

Allen released his debut album Mercury Lane in October of 2018. His "Best Shot" single hit the top of the charts.

Jimmie later n the day posted that it was all a joke for April Fools.
