Reba McEntire Is ‘In Love’

After a rough divorce from her husband of over twenty years, Narvel Blackstock, Reba McEntire has found true love once more.

The country queen shared with People of her new love she calls "Skeeter." “I was not looking,” she says of her post-divorce mindset. “Not even interested.”

However, she met Anthony "Skeeter" Lasuzoo while vacationing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He's a 70-year-old widower with homes in Wyoming and Texas, and is an accomplished wildlife photographer who knew how to show McEntire’s party the prime locations for animal sightings.

“We just had the best time,” McEntire recalls. “And so two nights later, we all went out to dinner, and he bought my dinner.” McEntire returned to Jackson Hole two months later, and Lasuzzo asked her out on a date. “I was there almost a week and we spent every day together."

The couple recently spent their birthdays together. Reba posted to Instagram, "Skeeter and I had a wonderful birthday MONTH!! His bd was the 27th, mine the 28th! We celebrated in Nashville, Los Angeles, Phoenix and back in Nashville again! Too much fun! Thanks everyone for making our birthdays so wonderful, special and sweet :-)"

Reba admits she wasn't ready for love and opted for a friendship until things got closer. “We’re totally in love — absolutely,” she says. “I wouldn’t put up with somebody for two years if I wasn’t in love with ’em!” She adds, “The old heart’s still beating.”

Skeeter will be at Reba's side on the red carpet when she hosts the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 7, which airs live on CBS.
