Andie’s FabuLIST: Coping with Lack of Sleep
I often hear comments from people wondering how I cope on 4-5 hours of sleep a night.
Here are my secrets:
1 – SILKY, SATIN PILLOW CASES
I know that makes me sound like a prima donna, but they keep my hair and my skin from folding while I sleep. NO PILLOW MARKS ON MY CHEEKS!
2 – CONCEALER CONCEALER CONCEALER
This one is affordable and my favorite
3 – MICELLAR WATER
Have you heard about Micellar water? It’s my understanding that it acts as a magnet for makeup and whatever else has landed on your face throughout the day. I like to use it as the first step in my evening routine so I’m not just rubbing all that grime back into my pores.
I do use it every day to remove my make up – and then once or twice a week I’ll use an additional cleanser to give my face a deeper cleanse.
4 – ROSE WATER
After that I spray some Rose Water onto my cloth/cotton round and gently wipe that over my freshly cleansed face. I like to use the rose water as a toner because it doesn’t contain chemicals, which can dry out my skin.
5 – COTTON PADS – or better yet – MAKEUP CLOTHS
Once I started my regimen of Micellar & Rose Waters I noticed I was going through cotton pads like there’s no tomorrow. I hate that for a couple reasons – 1 – it’s just throwing money in the trash. 2 – It’s just adding more waste to environment. That’s how I got turned onto Makeup Cloths. These are microfiber, so they’re much much softer than trying to wipe with a washcloth. And they’re pretty cheap. I think I got these for about a dollar a piece.
