Brunch With Brian: Trolley Car Cafe
After a week off, I’m back with another place to brunch. This time it’s another one of my go-to places, especially since it’s so close to where I work and live.
The Trolley Car Cafe serves up great food near a beautiful scenic location in East Falls just steps away from Fairmount Park right along the Schuylkill River.
The building was originally a pool house called “The Bathey” which was converted into the cafe the way know today.
The Trolley Car Cafe has indoor and outdoor seating and delivers and awesome take on breakfast and lunch.
I’ve had some of their signature items like the Dutch Oven Pancake. To put it in rhyme, think of a pancake an inch thick that will fill you up quick.
One of the people next to me ordered one of the fritattas..one example is the East Falls Fritatta made with asparagus, carmelized onion and bleu cheese.
For me I kept it simple by ordering breakfast sliders with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese on three savory mini brioche buns.
So if you’re riding your bicycle in Fairmount Park and you’re looking for a place for breakfast or lunch, check out the Trolley Car Cafe and dine away.
