Fun Summer Fun … Part 1
Summer is finally here! So what do we do with the kids? Here are 3 ideas my kids and I came up with to help make this summer fun for the entire family …
1 – Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA
We love this little gem hidden away in the middle of Montgomery County. According to it’s website, EPZ “participates in programs and initiatives that help save wildlife, and it teaches others how they can help prevent species extinction and resource depletion.”
Some of our favorite attractions at EPZ:
Tori: I like being able to feed the animals, like the giraffes, bison, birds and barn animals.
Leonard – I like going in the train to learn about the Bison and see the giant poop.
2 – Blue Mountain Resort in the Pocono Mountains
Sure, you know you can ski Blue Mountain in the winter, but do you know how much fun you and the family can have there in the summer, too? From mountain biking to the high ropes course to a scenic lift ride, Blue Mountain is fun for all!
3 – Kalahari Resorts & Conventions
Imma be honest – I was nervous the first time I took my family to Kalahari in the Poconos – but I had the time of my life!
- The resort is clean.
- The water park is everything you’d want: thrilling slides, relaxing rides, tons of room so we didn’t feel like we were jammed in, and bars 🙂
- The food was delicious. Seriously great food.
- Oh, and there’s a world class spa, so you can let your family play while you get the R&R you deserve.
