New Toll For The Scudder Falls Bridge Starts This Weekend
The Scudder Falls Bridge connecting Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County and Ewing Township, Mercer County, New Jersey has been under construction since 2017, but reopened today.
Construction is in the second phase and will hopefully be completed by 2020. The toll will be automated and frequent users of the bridge will only pay $0.75 (16 or more trips in a calendar month). Otherwise, EZ Pass users will pay $1.25 automatically taken from their account, while those without an EZ Pass will be sent a bill for $2.60.
It’s a huge project for the bridge and adjoining highways. NJ.com explains,
The entire project — which also includes road and interchange improvements to I-95 and I-295, a new pedestrian and bike path, and noise-abatement walls — is expected to be completed over four and a half years and will cost $534 million.
The tolls start on Sunday.
