Maren Morris Scores Gold, Platinum Awards for Three Singles, One Album

Maren Morris is feeling good today as she just shared some wall bling celebrating her latest gold and platinum awards.

She posted to Instagram late last night (July 15), “Tequila was served tonight. ‘GIRL,’ ‘The Bones’ and ‘Rich’ are gold and ‘HERO’ IS AN EFFING PLATINUM ALBUM! Thank you Sony, my Columbia team and thank you to every writer, player, and fan who made this possible.”

Gold and Platinum certifications are determined by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with Gold recognizing 500,000 units sold/streamed and Platinum recognizing 1,000,000 units sold/streamed.

Maren is currently out on her “Girl” tour with shows in Michigan and Wisconsin this weekend.

She joins Miranda Lambert on her “Road Side Bars and Pink Guitars” tour in September.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
