Blake Shelton On Playing With Garth Brooks: ‘A Night I’ll Never Forget’
Over the weekend, Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton played their duet “Dive Bar” for the first time, in front of an audience that was somewhat bigger than your average dive bar.
Shelton joined Brooks at his sold-out show at Albertsons Stadium on Friday (7/19). After “Dive Bar,” Shelton treated the 40,000-plus crowd to a solo acoustic rendition of his single “God’s Country”
Shelton said, “Garth Brooks, 40,000 fans and me! What a hell of a way to perform ‘Dive Bar’ for the first time. Thanks to Garth and everyone for a night I’ll never forget.”
In addition to his collaboration with Brooks, Blake is teaming up with “King of Country” George Strait this summer for several special stadium performances.
Between select tour dates, he has been working on his forthcoming album and filming for the next season of The Voice.
Blake posted to Instagram over the weekend, “Hell of a time with @garthbrooks and Boise last night!!! #DiveBar”
