I literally found this restaurant while driving through Manayunk this morning.  Diner @ Manayunk, which is no relation to the old diner which closed a few years ago, is right next to the parking lot at the corner of Main & Levering Sts.

The restaurant got it’s roots as a small food truck at Temple University called “Honey Truck.”

Diner @ Manayunk opened earlier this year and making all the people who come in feel at home with delicious breakfast and lunch items made to order in a warm friendly cozy atmosphere.

When you walk in, the first thing you see is a coffee bar where you can get a wide variety of lattes and cappuccinos.  The breakfast menu features a good variety like “Chicken & Waffles”, “Triple Berry French Toast with Custard Cream”, even a benedict with “a homemade crab cake.”

Now I always love a good omelet and my personal favorite is the “Mex Omelet” with Chorizo, Pico del Gallo and Guacamole.  All those flavors blended real well together.

Next time you drive into Manayunk for breakfast, give Diner @ Manayunk a try.  Like they say on their menu, they want to “make you smile.”
