Maren Morris Asks for ‘Common Sense’ After Shootings
Maren Morris, like most of us, watched the horror unfold over the weekend with two mass shootings in less than 24 hours killing 29 people in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. She took to Twitter to air her frustrations.
She wrote,” If I see one more politician use their ‘thoughts & prayers’ tweet template they have backburnered for every mass shooting, I’m gonna be sick. We need common sense reform, not 280 meaningless characters. I love you, Texas & Ohio. No one deserves this.”

Not long after the mass shootings in Charleston and Las Vegas, Morris co-wrote and released a song with Vince Gill called “Dear Hate.”
