BOCA RATON, FL - MAY 30: Melissa Lipman, a veterinarian technician volunteer, cares for a dog rescued from the ruins after a deadly tornado struck near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Tri County Humane Society in Boca Raton on May 30, 2013 in Boca Raton, Florida. Workers at the animal shelter brought 65 dogs and 15 cats back from the disaster zone last night with plans to treat the animals for injuries, give them needed shots and adopt them out to families in about a week. Omg this story made me cry! A shelter dog from Arizona is about to become a star!
“Monte,” a 2-year-old terrier mix, once called HALO Animal Rescue in Phoenix his “home,” until he was adopted. Monte was rescued from the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley in Las Cruces, New Mexico, by HALO Animal Rescue in April 2018!
“Lady and the Tramp” will premiere Nov. 12 on Disney’s new streaming service. The live-action remake features real-life rescue dogs (with voices provided by human celebrities.)
