Maren Morris Reacts To Getting The Most 2019 CMA Nominations

Maren Morris leads this year’s list of Country Music Association Awards nominees with six nominations. This is her second time leading the CMA nominee list in four years, and it is the strongest showing by a female nominee since Miranda Lambert garnered nine nominations in 2014.

Morris is in the running for Album Of The Year, Female Vocalist Of The Year, Single Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Music Video Of The Year, and Musical Event Of The Year.

Maren reacted to her multiple CMA nomination late this morning on her socials posting to Instagram, “Really unexpected to wake up to but DAMN. thank you, @cma and my peers for the nominations this year.”

Morris is currently touring on her headlining “Girl World Tour” with a show at the Nebraska State Fair on Friday (8/30).

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
