LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – SEPTEMBER 19: A “For Aliens Only” sticker adorns a refrigerator for beer at the Area 51 Celebration at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on September 19, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is one of several in Nevada being held as a result of a Facebook event entitled, “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us,” suggesting people storm the highly classified U.S. Air Force facility at the Nevada Test and Training Range to address a conspiracy theory that the U.S. government is conducting tests with space aliens, went viral. Matty Roberts said he created the event as a joke. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Matty Roberts started the event as a joke. The Air Force is warning people not to trespass on Area 51 or any nearby testing and training grounds. The FBI is also monitoring the event. Many people believe Area 51 is where the government houses aliens and UFOs."
"CNET claims Lincoln County District Attorney Dylan Frehner may press charges against Roberts and Facebook for publishing a matter in breach of peace. The charge carries a year in county jail and a $2,000 fine."
