The Pennsylvania Turnpike Will Be Going Cashless In 2021
Getting a toll ticket when you enter and paying a toll collector when you leave will be a thing of the past.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike has been doing testing for 4 years and now they will be carrying on it’s plan with a $129 Million Dollar Project which will transform the road into a completely cashless toll system in 2 years.
The way you’ll pay to use the road is to use E-Z Pass or cameras will take pictures of your license plate and they’ll send you a bill.
The move will eliminate 600 toll collectors and auditors, but they are being given an opportunity to apply for other jobs, or receive money for tuition for job training in other fields.
