Brunch With Brian: Frankie’s On Fairview
This past Sunday I went to a church near Ridley Park where I’m gonna be singing for a friends wedding this coming weekend.
After my rehearsal I asked about where I should go for my latest brunch adventure and they told me to check out this place in Woodlyn.
Frankie’s On Fairview has been voted “Best Of Delco” by the Delaware County Daily Times, as well as getting high marks for their take on breakfast and lunch favorites.
One look at their menu and you see why this place is packed.
Frankie’s features such amazing dishes like the Philly Cheese Steak Omelet with their “house cheese sauce” and the Unforgettable Stuffed French Toast stuffed with cream cheese and strawberries and a “triple berry supreme sauce.”
However there were two dishes that caught my eye in the form of “Foodie Alerts.” One was their “Signature Grits” with hot sausage, colossal shrimp. peppers, onions and a Cajun scampi sauce.
But for my sweet tooth, I had to give the “Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes” a try, and these were amazing. It’s two golden brown pancakes with caramelized pineapple, sun dried cherries topped with salted caramel and powdered sugar.
One of the waitresses told me that this reminds her of the upside down cake her mother would make and I totally agree.
If you’re in Delco looking for a great brunch place, make sure you check out Frankies On Fairview and join them for breakfast or lunch. Open seven days a week.
