Jason Aldean releases his 9 album today (11/22).

As Jason told us, he still loves the album format. "I like making full-length albums. I know things are changing as far as it goes. Album sales are not what they used to be for anybody. It's all kind of going to streaming and it's kind of singles driven. But that's just not the way I like to make records. I'm still a fan of full-length albums and it's hard to get a vibe for from an artist if you only know five, six songs from them. It's hard for me to narrow it down to 16 songs, much less five or six."

He adds, "I'm going to only make records as long as I can make them. If it just gets to a point where it's just not the way things are going anymore, then we'll kind of reassess it. But, you know, I still enjoy that process and, you know, create music and people are gonna go buy an album. You know, I want it to be worth their while. It's going to have a lot of songs on it. I'm going to do that until I get told I can't."
