Bucks County Native Camille Schrier Crowned Miss America
51 women candidates competed for a $50,000 scholarship and the Miss America title on Thursday.

Schrier, a native of Newtown, Pennsylvania decided to compete for Miss America after the swimsuit competition was removed. This marks the second year in a row swimwear and evening wear were not judged, but instead, interviews and talent demonstrations determined who was qualified for the “job”.
Victoria Hill of Georgia placed first runner-up.
