Dan + Shay took home the only country televised Grammy for Best Country Duo / Group Performance for "Speechless."
The duo took the stage and Dan immediately thanked his wife after Shay said, "Dan, I'm gonna let you start cause I can't breathe right now."
Dan said, "this is one of the coolest moments ever thank you to my wife Ashley who's in the crowd right now for inspiring this song, for inspiring every song we write for inspiring everything we do in our lives. Shay's wife Hannah is at home in Nashville we love you."
Mooney added, "My wife, we're about to have our second baby so baby I love you so much."
This is the duo's second Grammy award. They won in 2019 for Best Country Duo / Group for "Tequila."
Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think.
