In case you didn't know, Kobe Bryant is an Oscar winner!  He actually credits his English teacher Ms. Mastriano from Lower Merion High School at helping him for his love of poetry.

  • When Bryant announced his retirement, he penned a poem for The Players' Tribune, which was later adapted into a five-minute and 22-second animation.
  • Narrated by Bryant, the piece won the Academy Award for "Best Animated Short Film" in 2018.
