Kenny Chesney receiving the Artist Humanitarian Award during the CRS 2020 Kickoff Lunch hosted by Warner Music Nashville:
Kenny told the crowd, “I have to tell you, I have a lot of emotions standing up here. I am embarrassed and uncomfortable, but God has given me the gift of communicating with people through music… and that’s given me a unique platform to help, especially with the Virgin Islands, with Songs for the Saints, which was written in the moment and came from the heart.” You can read more about his work here.
Tim McGraw rejoins Big Machine Records
Tim McGraw has returned to Big Machine Records after leaving the label for Sony Music in 2017. McGraw was at the Big Machine CRS Luncheon to announce that he had returned on Friday (2/21). The label president Scott Borchetta said, “I am so proud to welcome Tim McGraw back home to Big Machine Records. We can’t wait to jump back into the mix with Tim and his great team and get his incredible new music out to the world.” You can read the full story here.
