Proceeds of the auction will go to The Recording Academy’s MusicCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, and will assist industry professionals who are most in need by providing basic living assistance (rent or mortgage) and grants up to $1000 to compensate for work that was scheduled and lost due to coronavirus-driven cancellations.
Featuring personal support from Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Clay Walker, Tracy Byrd, Billy Gibbons, Pat Green and more, the MusiCares campaign features an auction for guitars signed by notable musicians including Garth, Bon Jovi, Kasey Musgraves, Van Morrison, Chris Stapleton, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Jewel and many more.
Also to be auctioned are unique virtual experiences (performances via video technology) that enables artists to connect virtually with fans in their homes while we all work to flatten the curve as well as in-person events later this year, such as an ice cream date with everyone’s favorite yodeling superstar, Mason Ramsey, a meeting with ZZ Top and more.
MusicCares — which is operated by the Grammy Award organization — has partnered with leading event production company and experiential marketing firm, Encore Live, to put on the auction. The initiative, called #MusicMatters was launched by Encore Live, as a way to give back to the devastated music community. MusiCares’ COVID-19 Fund proceeds will go directly to music people in every role of the industry who are most in need by providing basic living assistance (rent or mortgage) and grants up to $1000 to compensate for work that was scheduled and lost due to coronavirus-driven cancellations.
