Kane Brown Marks Five Years Since Debut EP
It’s been five years this month (June) since the release of Kane Brown’s debut EP, Closer, and as Brown told us, it’s been a sweet ride.
Kane said, “I feel like the last, you know, five years everything’s been a high point. We just keep moving forward and it’s been a whirlwind. I haven’t really gotten to look back on anything until the other day I actually finally got to take everything in for the first time and it’s just crazy.”
He adds, “But, we just got to keep moving forward and don’t look back.”
Brown raised funds via Kickstarter to produce the six-song EP, which he recorded in Nashville at the home studio of Noah Henson, guitarist for Brantley Gilbert.
Closer, was released on June 2, 2015. Kane’s debut single from the project was a song called “Don’t Go City on Me” and it reached number 43 on the Country Digital Songs chart.
