Maren Morris has reacted to Jake Owen on Twitter after fans blasted him yesterday for support Chase Rice in playing a show on Saturday and being criticized by fellow artist including Kelsea Ballerini.

Jake originally posted to Twitter last night (6/29), "In a world full of hate, be a light. I swear I’ve heard that on OUR country radio stations. It’s amazing how many country artists, songwriters and media outlets are quick to throw shade at our own people. Sad really."

Maren reacted today (6/30), "I love you but it is perfectly okay to hold “our own” people accountable for a poor decision that will keep us all out of work even longer. I know you care about your band, crew, and fans. I’m not canceling anyone, I am respectfully wondering why they would screw us all over."

The tweet has since been deleted.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
