Wawa and Other Businesses Seek Change

We heard last week about a nationwide shortage of change -  The Federal Reserve admits the COVID-19 pandemic has "significantly disrupted the supply chain and normal circulation patterns for U.S. coin."  Well now businesses are feeling the pinch and asking customers for help!  Some, like Wawa, are asking you to round up with the surplus being donated to charity.  While other businesses are asking for credit or debit cards instead of cash.  6ABC is reporting Wawa is encouraging customers to pay with credit, debit, the Wawa mobile app or exact change, if possible. Also starting Thursday, customers can exchange their rolled coins for bills at select Wawa stores. There will be signs up at the stores directing customers.
