After Tropical Storm Fay made her way through our area, the Isabell family noticed what they thought was water damage on the walls of their home.

Turns out it wasn't water running down their walls.. it was honey!  They found an entire colony of bees living in their walls and they never knew until after the storm!

According to 6 ABC,

On Friday night, after Tropical Storm Fay moved through the area, the family found dark stains dripping down their walls. They assumed it was storm damage, but got closer to see for themselves.

"My husband felt this really sticky, syrupy stuff. We were brave and smelled it. He said, 'This is honey. This is honey pouring down our walls,'" said Andrea Isabell.

A little detective work ensued and they were able to trace the bees to the top of their house.  So they called a bee keeper who will extract the bees and safely transport them to his bee farm where they will produce honey.

Can you imagine having bees in your walls and not knowing about it?  Crazy!
