The Mutter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is billed as the city’s disturbingly informative museum. “We don’t sugarcoat or glorify anything,” says curator Anna Dhody. “We ask visitors to come with open minds and focus on the subjects that appeal to them.” (Harry Fisher/Allentown Morning Call/Tribune News Service via Getty Images)
The Mutter Museum is one of Philly's more famous and well interesting museums. If you've never been, don't do if you have a weak stomach. It's mostly oddities and medical mysteries, which obviously, it's very intriguing!
The exhibit opened last year and explores how neighborhoods in Philadelphia were impacted by the global epidemic often called the "Spanish flu," as well as how the disease spread. The tour is about 16 mins long.
"Get a glimpse into what Philadelphia was like 100 years ago and consider for yourself the parallels between that catastrophic public health event and what we are facing today," states the Mütter Museum.
