You've loved him for years as SpongeBob's sidekick, now Patrick Star is getting his time in the limelight! The new SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff series show called The Patrick Star Show is in the works for Nickelodeon.  The show will revolve around Patrick and his family.  A few of the SpongeBob cast members will reprise their roles occasionally for the spinoff.   No official word yet from Nickelodeon.
