While Carrie Underwood was gracious when she accepted the Entertainer of the Year honor at last night's (9/16) ACM Awards,  her fans online aren't so happy about it. For the first time in ACM history, the Entertainer of the Year was a tie; Underwood shared the award with Thomas Rhett.

Twitter has been abuzz with fans angry over Carrie having to share the honor with a man.

One fan Tweeted, "CARRIE finally wins #Entertaineroftheyear and she has to share it with a man.... #ACMs."

Another fan piped in, "That is BS!!!!!! @ACMawards just trying to be politically correct after a show in which social justice was mentioned. WTF!!!!! @carrieunderwood deserves to be #entertaineroftheyear without having the shadow of a tie attached to it."

One more fan was upset that it was given to a woman in the first place saying, "You’re telling me that two men that will play their hearts out in sold out arenas: one had a tour where he had no opening acts and sung for 3 hours, the other has sold out arenas in a matter of seconds doesn’t win the damn TIE for #EntertainerOfTheYear? @ACMawards is messed up."

Backstage after her win, Underwood gushed about getting the top honor, tie or not.

Some fans on Twitter were actually happy about it one saying, "Yes!!!! Well deserved by both! @ThomasRhett and @carrieunderwood #ACMAwards #EntertainerOfTheYear."

And Carrie fans weren't the only ones hot about the tie, one Thomas Rhett diehard said, "The #ACM tie for #entertaineroftheyear seems like a giant slap in the face to the women of the country music industry. I love Thomas Rhett, but it’s like saying 'well the academy believes TR should get it but we knew it would piss peeps off so we ALSO gave it to Carrie Underwood.'"

Thomas, like Underwood, also gushed about his win in this backstage video.
