Dolly Parton has been doing interviews to promote her new Christmas album A Holly, Dolly Christmas that's coming next month and in true Dolly style she addresses some pesky rumors.

Parton told People about the constant tabloid rumors that she is ill and bedridden. "Oh yeah! I always laugh at them," she says. "One, it shows up about every three years in the tabloids, where I'm bedridden because my boobs are so heavy that I'm crippled for life on my back. I just laugh. Well, they are heavy, but they haven't crippled me yet."

Another rumor that just won't go away is that she covers her arms because she is all tattooed up. She offered, "I do have some tattoos, that's true. But they're tasteful. I'm not a tattoo girl."

While Dolly stays clear of politics, she did recently note the passing of Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg by saying in part, "Her voice was soft but her message rang loud and clear and will echo forever."

Parton is herself has become a feminist icon. She told People, "I see it as a compliment, yes. I have never been willing to take a back seat to anybody because I was female. I just don't like labels. I suppose I'm a feminist if it comes to saying I'm glad to be feminine."
