Jalen Hurts Has To Be The Guy Moving Forward, Right?

The Eagles finally won a game yesterday against the very good New Orleans Saints.  The Saints have the #1 defense in the NFL, the Eagles were starting rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts and things were not looking good going into the game.

Jalen Hurts had himself a day with over 100 yards on the ground along with second year running back Miles Sanders also eclipsing the 100 yard mark.  He moved the offense really well and he looked very good throughout the game.

Jalen Hurts has to be the starter for the rest of the year... Yes.  But is he the guy beyond this year? It will be almost impossible for the Eagles to get rid of Carson Wentz because of his contract and they can not afford to eat $34 million dollars by not having him on the roster next year.  If Jalen Hurts is the starter next year, the Eagles will have the most expensive backup quarterback in NFL History.
