This is so hard for me to watch.  I know the NFL is a business and football is a game, but there are some players that just tug at your heart strings, and those players who you want on your team forever.  Boston got TWENTY years with Tom.  The Packers have over 10 with Aaron Rodgers.  It's so frustrating that the Eagles can't figure out how to keep some of their best players with them long term.  Zach Ertz has been INSTRUMENTAL in everything the Eagles have done, his insane touchdown in the SuperBowl literally helped win the game.  He's an incredible player, and person. and with the cap situation in Philly, it doesn't look like they will be able to keep him on the team next year.  To put in perspective, there's a strong chance the Eagles won't have Carson Wentz, Zach Ertz, Jason Kelce, Alshon Jeffery, and Desean Jackson next season.  It's wild to think about.

Zach knows it's most likely his last season in Philly, and to think he had to play his last game as an Eagle with no fans, and to lose like that, just sucks.   He spoke to the media today and was understandable very overcome with emotion.

“This is the best city to play for and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience” “This city means a lot to me. It means a lot to my family. I’m thankful”
