Dolly Parton Takes COVID Vaccine On Camera From Vanderbilt
Just minutes ago, Dolly Parton got her Moderna COVID vaccine, the very vaccine that she helped to fund and the doctor, Naji Abumrad, who inspired her to donate was the doctor who gave her the shot.
In the video she filmed at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Dolly said, “I’m old enough to get it and I’m smart enough to get it.”
She even turned the words of her song “Jolene” into “Vaccine” singing, “I’m begging of you please don’t hesitate, Vaccine, Vaccine , Vaccine, Vaccine, cause once you’re dead, then it’s a bit too late.” She then said, “I know I’m trying to be funny now but I’m dead serious about the vaccine.”
Parton added before she received the shot on camera, “I just want to say to all of you cowards out there, don’t be such a chicken squat.” When her doctor was about to give her the shot he fumbled around a bit and took his time with Dolly quipping, “It took less time than this to film 9 to 5.” With her mask on, she got the shot and then cheered, “I got it, I got it.”
