Dan Smyers’ Tribute to Wife Abby
Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers is still thrilled about his recent Grammy win along with Shay Mooney and Justin Berber for their collaboration of “10,000 Hours” in the Country Duo or Group category.
Dan took to his socials last night (3/28) to share again not only his gratitude for the Grammy but also his wife Abby.
Smyers posted to Instagram last night 3/28), “We won a grammy two weeks ago today (from the comfort of our own home ) and couldn’t be more grateful. huge thank you to the @recordingacademy and everyone who voted, but also wanted to give a special shout out to my wife @abbysmyers (who wore her outfit from the #10KHOURS music video for good luck) for inspiring me and always encouraging me to be the best i can be.”
He continued, “She helps me navigate my emotional polarity and keeps me from falling apart, because for every award and accolade that i share on social media, there are a million days behind the scenes where i can’t find the right drum sound or harmony part and wear the devastation more heavily than I should. I’m so blessed to have her in my life and to celebrate this moment with her by my side! Love you Abby, and everyone else who played a part in making this all happen.”
Abby responded saying, “Dang, give a girl some warning love you.”
