Why Fake Pockets?
I have been asking this for years! Why do women’s pants have fake front pockets? I know we carry a purse, but occasionally I want to put something in my pocket! Why is it jut for show?! Well, I am not alone in this quandary. A seven-year-old in Arkansas named Kamryn Gardner sent a note to Old Navy to inquire why the “pockets of the girl’s jeans are fake.”
She wrote: “I do not like that the front pockets of the girls jeans are fake. I want front pockets because I want to put my hands in them. I also would like to put things in them. Would you consider making girls jeans with front pockets that are not fake. Thank you for reading my request.”
Old Navy, who says they welcome all feedback, responded and thanked Kamryn by sending four pairs of jeans and a pair of jean shorts all with real pockets! Now, lets work on a grown up version, please!
