Keith Urban appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show earlier this week where he talked about hosting the ACM Awards with Mickey Guyton.
Keith said of his co-host this year, "She's really great. I'm glad that we get to do this together, we played a song together last September when I hosted in Nashville. So, this time around I'm just like, 'It would be great if we could do it together' and so there I was asking her."
Ellen then asked, "So there are more female nominees this year and more nominees of color, do you think country music is becoming more inclusive?" Keith replies, "It's on the right track I mean, there's always work to do and there's always room for improvement but we're definitely moving in the right direction, finally."
It will be the first time Mickey has co-hosted the ACM Awards and she is the first woman of color to do so. The ACM Awards will air live on CBS at 8PM ET on Sunday (4/18).
