This Hot Dog IS A Sandwich
If a hot dog is round and flat, that kind of makes it a sandwich, right? Rastelli’s Round Dog might just put a definitive answer on that question. Rastelli’s Round Dog is simply a flat hot dog shaped like a hamburger patty. It was created by Tony Luke Jr., creator and owner of Tony Luke’s cheesesteaks after he had to use a hamburger bun after running out of hot dog buns. This thing looks oddly close to a slice of bologna, but Luke says there’s a difference; the round dog has ridges perfect for the grill. Rastelli’s Round Dogs aren’t as cheap as bologna, either. A 24-pack of “patties” will cost ya around $84…on QVC.
