Dale Earnhardt Jr. Announces He Will Race on 20th Anniversary of 9/11!
This is incredible! How crazy that it’s been 20 years since 9/11.
- Dale Earnhardt Jr. is only competing in one Xfinity Series race this year – but it will be a special one.
- Earnhardt will start in the Go Bowling 250 at Richmond Raceway on September 11th – the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
- Earnhardt’s car will feature a special paint scheme inspired by the 9/11 Memorial’s Tribute In Light, and including the words ‘Never Forget’.
- The 46-year-old Earnhardt retired in 2017 but makes one start each year for JR Motorsports, which he co-owns.
- How else would you like to see the sports world commemorate the 9/11 anniversary this year?
