As if you needed an excuse to enjoy a nice glass of rose outside this weekend, but here is one anyway! Saturday (June 12) marks National Rose Day and why not celebrate with a few friends and a glass (or two) of wine!
I recently stumbled upon a rose that is both refreshing and bubbly and that is FIOL Rose. It is made with Glera and Pinot Noir grapes and has notes of raspberry and strawberry, perfect for a summer wine.
I will definitely be whipping up a cocktail called Rosato Spritz for my friends this weekend to celebrate and I wanted to share the recipe with you too.
Rosato Spritz
- 2 oz FIOL Rose
- 1 oz Italicus
- .05 oz Chinoto Vermouth
- 1 oz Club soda
Method: Built all into a wine glass filled with ice and garnish with a sliced strawberry
If you're a fan of rose like me and are looking to celebrate I suggest hosting some friends over, putting out a nice charcuterie spread, grabbing a couple bottles of different roses, and hosting a wine tasting at home.
