Festivals at Peddler’s Village

Peddler’s Village has a line up of events happening through the end of the year, including murder mystery walking tours, Bluegrass and Blueberries Month in July, the Peach Festival and Sidewalk Sale in August, OctoberFeast in October, and the Apple Festival in November.

Terrace on Tap at the Independence Visitor Center

Terrace on Tap is a pop-up dining experience at the Independence Visitor Center, featuring local brews from Workhorse Brewing Co. and Wissahickon Brewing Co. as well as light bites and activities for the kids. Reservations are strongly recommended, as walk-up availability is limited.

Festivals at Linvilla Orchards

Linvilla Orchards has tons of festivals happening this summer including, the Blueberry Festival, (July 10, 2021) and the Peach Festival (August 7, 2021).

Parks on Tap

Parks on Tap is back this summer at two Schuylkill River waterfront locations. The Water Works location is open daily, while Trails End is open Wednesday – Sunday.

Spruce Street Harbor Park

On a nice day head over to Spruce Street Harbor Park and enjoy the view of the Delaware River. Hang out in a hammock or play lawn games with your friends all for free. There are food vendors on site if you get hungry as well as a beer garden with food and drinks for purchase. This season, look for new eateries French Toast Bites, Philly Taco, Dre’s Water Ice & Ice Cream.


Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest and The Midway

Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is a great spot to hang out. Featuring a boathouse-style lodge, a play area for kids, food and drink options and special events there is always something to do. For a small fee you can roller skate.

Movie Nights Under the Stars & Stripes at The Betsy Ross House

The Betsy Ross House offers movie screenings the first Friday of each month. Admission is $7 and includes a tour of the house before each film. Betsy Ross House is also BYO food-and-drink.

September 3: Evil Brain from Outer Space
October 1: Plan 9 from Outer Space

Blobfest from The Colonial Theatre

From July 9-11, 2021 fans of the horror flick The Blob can check out the three day virtual event filled with screenings, competitions, and replays.


Movies in Clark Park

Starting August 6, Clark Park hosts free outdoor movie nights. Reservations are required one week in advance, with a limited number of walk-up spots available.

August 27: Concrete Cowboy

Philadelphia Folk Festival

The Philadelphia Folk Festival at Old Pool Farms is the longest running outdoor music festival in North America. This year’s festival will be hybrid with in-person and virtual events this year. The festival runs August 19 – 22.
